Body sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal using a completely natural paste made from lemon, sugar and water. It looks like honey, but is even thicker. The paste is molded onto your skin against the direction of the hair growth, then quickly flicked off – removing the sugar paste, extracting your unwanted hair, and collecting dead skin cells. This ancient hand technique that allows for the hair to be extracted in the direction of its growth means less breakage and discomfort for you!

A facial is one of the best ways to take care of your skin – the largest organ of your body – especially when it’s given by an experienced, knowledgeable esthetician. A facial cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion, and can help your skin look and feel younger. A facial is the second most popular spa treatment after a massage. A facial works best when it is part of a continuing program of skin care. Scheduling regular facials with Abundant Beauty is the best way to take advantage of accomplishing your skin care goals.

This facial is specifically for those dealing with cancer. Most people will look for comfort and relief from the unpleasant side effects associated with cancer treatments and therapies, such as dryness, loss of elasticity, and rashes, among other issues.
As an Oncology Trained Esthetician, I am able to help when I am needed the most. The skin is the largest organ of the body and often times severely affected as an indirect result of oncology treatments. (Chemotherapy, medications, and Radiation Therapy). My goal is to restore, hydrate, and protect; helping the skin to heal and repair by supporting the natural functions of the skin.
WHAT IS "SUGARING"?
Sugaring is a method of hair removal. A professional Sugarist uses a sugar paste that consists of 3 ingredients of sugar, lemon, and water to remove unwanted hair.

SUGARING VS. WAXING?
-
Sugar paste does not need to be applied at a hot temperature but can be applied at room temperature. Because of this, You are less likely to get burned.
-
Sugar paste is pushed into the hair follicles with the Sugarists hands. It is more likely to attach to the root of the hair follicle and prevent breakage. It will avoid quicker regrowth and cause longer-lasting results.
-
Sugar paste is an all-natural exfoliant and will leave the skin feeling soft and healthy.
-
Sugar paste is gentler than waxing and is excellent for sensitive skin.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET SUGARED?
We recommend getting sugared every 3-4 weeks until your regrowth becomes less. After some sugaring time, the regrowth will become minimum, and the visits can become less frequent. It can be determined by your Sugarist, as it varies for each client.
WHAT IF I AM A SHAVER AND WANT TO SWITCH TO SUGARING?
-
You must have at least 2-3 weeks of hair growth before your sugaring appointment.
-
Do not revert to shaving in between appointments. It will deliver the best results from sugaring.
WHAT IF I PREVIOUSLY GOT WAXED AND WANT TO SWITCH TO SUGARING?
Allow 4 weeks of regrowth before getting sugared.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF SUGARED AREA POST TREATMENT?
Avoid:
-
Exfoliating the skin for 48 hours after treatment
-
Heat (including saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga studios)
-
Beach or swimming pools (skip a day out on the beach for 48-72 hours after service.)
-
Direct sunlight, tanning beds, and infrared lamps
-
Working out (skip the gym for the day)
-
Touching, scratching, or rubbing the treated area
-
Intercourse or lubricants ( for 48-72 hours after service)
-
Using a razor to remove hairs in between appointments. It defeats the purpose of and decreases the benefits of body sugaring.

Post Care:
-
It is essential to exfoliate and hydrate your skin. Start exfoliating the skin two days after the sugaring treatment every 2-3 times a week, every other day. To exfoliate, you can use a natural bristle body brush with water and move in a circular motion or against the direction of hair growth. It will help prevent ingrown hairs.
-
To keep skin hydrated, make sure to moisturize with an all-natural lotion.
-
Keep skin clean and wear loose clothing.
